Privacy notice.
Last updated 8 October 2026.
This notice explains what we collect when you write to Linda, ask for her letters or buy one of her paintings, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It is given under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
Artistic Answers (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”) sells Linda Wolf’s paintings and is responsible for the personal information this website collects.
You can reach us at info@lindawolf.store, or by phone or WhatsApp on 072 152 6246.
Our Information Officer can be reached at info@lindawolf.store.
What we collect, and why
When you write to Linda through a form on this website, we collect your name, your email address, your phone or WhatsApp number if you give it, and your message. Some forms also ask about the painting, room or wall you have in mind, such as its town and size, your timing, your budget and the paintings you like. We use these details to reply to you and to prepare a quote or a proposal.
Some forms let you add photographs of your room or wall. We use them only to understand the space. Please leave people out of them where you can.
If you buy a painting, we also need the details for your invoice and, for delivery, the delivery address and a phone number for the courier. We use them to invoice you, to deliver your painting or arrange its collection, and to keep the accounting records the law requires. When you pay by EFT, we see your payment and its reference on our bank statement.
If you ask for Linda’s letters, we keep your email address, the words you agreed to, where you signed up, and when you signed up and confirmed. We use them to send you a letter once a month, until you ask us to stop.
If you ask to hear when a painting becomes available again, we keep your email address and the painting’s name, and send you one email about it.
To limit how often a form can be sent from one connection, we keep your IP address in a coded form, and delete it after a day.
Our hosting provider records the technical details that every visit carries, such as your IP address and browser, to keep the website working and secure.
You choose what to tell us. We need your name and email address to reply to you, and for delivery an address and a phone number. Without them we cannot help with that request.
We do not ask for special personal information, such as your health or beliefs. We never sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
In law, replying to you and preparing a quote are steps you asked us to take before a sale. Invoicing and delivering a painting carry out our agreement with you, and the law requires us to keep accounting records. Letters and the one email about a painting rest on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. The spam check and our hosting records serve our legitimate interest, and yours, in a safe website.
Who sees it
Linda reads every enquiry. A copy goes to the person who runs the site for Linda.
Resend, an email service, sends the emails this website writes, such as your enquiry to Linda, its copy, your acknowledgement and the letters. Resend keeps its records in the United States.
Linda’s mailbox, and the mailbox of the person who runs the site for her, are each hosted by an email provider.
Our hosting provider runs the website and keeps the photographs you add in private storage. Our database provider keeps the records of enquiries and of sign-ups for letters.
If you ask Linda to reply on WhatsApp, your messages are carried by WhatsApp, under its own terms.
If your painting is delivered, the courier receives your name, the delivery address and a phone number.
Beyond these, we share your information only when the law requires us to.
When your information leaves South Africa
Some of these services keep information outside South Africa, mainly in the United States and the United Kingdom. We use them because they are needed to reply to you or to complete a sale you asked for, and, for letters, because you agreed to it when you signed up.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, with the answers and messages you send
- only as long as we need them to reply to you and to keep the records the law asks of a business, and we delete them sooner if you ask
- Photographs you add to a form or send by email
- only as long as we need them to reply to you, and we delete them sooner if you ask. A photograph added to a form that is never sent is deleted after a day.
- Invoices and the records of a sale
- as long as tax and company law requires
- Letters
- until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address and the record of your consent and of your unsubscribing, so that we never write to you again by mistake.
- A request to hear about a painting
- until we send the one email, or the painting is sold, and then your address is deleted
Keeping it safe
Every page is served over an encrypted connection. The photographs you add are kept in private storage, and the links Linda uses to open them expire after 30 days. Only Linda and the person who runs the site for her read your enquiries.
If we have reason to believe that your information has reached someone who should not have it, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible.
Your rights
You may ask us whether we hold information about you, and for a copy of it.
If anything we hold is wrong, out of date or no longer needed, you can ask us to correct or delete it.
Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you may object to our using your information.
Letters stop whenever you ask, and every letter carries a link to stop them.
Any consent you gave can be withdrawn at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, write to info@lindawolf.store. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, and we will answer as soon as we reasonably can.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator. Complaints are lodged on its eServices portal, eservices.inforegulator.org.za.
