Pieces find their wall.

  1. Linda Wolf is a painter. She works in oil on canvas from her studio in Pearly Beach, a small coastal town past Gansbaai in the Western Cape.

  2. She paints the sea, forests, open fields and flowers, as well as abstract studies in layered colour.

  3. Her paintings are sold in Constantia, Cape Town, and can be collected there at no charge.

  4. She also offers colour consulting and murals in the Overberg: Pearly Beach, Gansbaai, Stanford, Hermanus and the towns around them. Commissions are welcomed.

From the easel.

  1. Places

Many of the subjects come from the Western Cape: the Cape coast and Cape Point, the Tokai and Newlands forests, and a wheat field in the Overberg.

  2. Colour

Two of the paintings are abstract. Honeyed Drift is worked in amber, pewter, copper and mint, and Layers, Remembered in cobalt, magenta, mustard and jade.

  3. One of one

Each painting is the only one of its kind. It ships unframed, and Linda arranges framing on request.

  1. Linda’s palette up close: thick oil colour in greens, blues, coral, white and gold.
  2. Linda at her easel by the open sliding door, looking down at her palette.
  3. A palette tray of mixed oil colour beside a jar of brushes.
  4. Linda painting, her brush raised to the canvas.
