About the painting

A walk through Tokai forest, where tall trunks soften into fog and the light is cool and silvered.

A study in restraint. The canvas is held mostly in grey-green and silver, with a single warmth threading through the haze. Linda painted it in standing oils and scratched the trunks in last with the wooden end of the brush.
